Survey & measure
We visit the site, measure the elevation and photograph what is there. Landlord and lease restrictions get checked at this stage, not later.
THE PART NOBODY WARNS YOU ABOUT
Village sign ordinances differ street by street. We read them so you do not have to — share the address early so the requirements can inform the design.

Illustrative image — representative of the work, not a client installation.
A sign is one of the few things you buy for your business that a unit of local government has to approve before you can use it. Every village on the south side writes its own ordinance, and they do not agree with each other. Square footage allowances differ. Illumination rules differ. Some villages review weekly, some monthly.
Most sign companies quote the fabrication and hand you the permit problem. We do not. We file it, we track it, and if the village says no we come back with something they will approve — before you have paid to fabricate anything.
This list grows. If yours is not on it, we will still do the work — it just means we read the ordinance from scratch rather than from memory.
HOW IT GOES
Stamped drawings, variance applications, plan review follow-up and final inspection — handled by the shop that builds the sign.
We visit the site, measure the elevation and photograph what is there. Landlord and lease restrictions get checked at this stage, not later.
We read the village sign ordinance for your address — allowable square footage, height, setback, illumination and whether your use is even permitted.
Scaled elevation and detail drawings prepared to the format your village accepts, sealed by an engineer where required.
We file the permit application, pay the fee on your behalf and track it through plan review.
If the reviewer pushes back, we revise and refile. This is where most sign projects stall — and where having the fabricator handle it matters most.
We install to the approved drawings and meet the inspector. You get the closed permit for your records.
LET’S GET IT STARTED
Send the address and a photo. We check what your village allows, then price it. No charge for the check.
